Ann M. (Hagan) Winnett, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital. She was 76 years of age.
Ann was born in Boston on September 7, 1947, a daughter of the late William Hagan and Dorothy (Stevens) Hagan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Ann worked as a cashier for Johnny's Foodmaster in Charlestown for 20 years. She enjoyed decorating and helping out at the Malden Elks. She also enjoyed camping in Lancaster, New Hampshire. Most important to Ann was her devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren. Ann was a member of the B.P.O.E. Malden Elks Lodge #965.
Ann is the beloved wife of the late David E. Winnett. She is the devoted mother of Sandra Winnett and Jason Winnett. She is the loving Nana of Brittany, Danielle, Abigail, Amanda, Jessica, and Christopher. She is the dear sister of the late William Carr and Dorothy Bronson. She is the loving aunt of Patricia Belliveau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann's Funeral on Thursday morning, February 22, 2024 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private at the Veteran's Administration National Cemetery in Bourne. Her visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
