Obituary

Anna P. (Zaccone) Mele, a 9 year resident of Salem, New Hampshire and former 48 year resident of Wakefield, passed into eternal life on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Wingate at Haverhill Nursing Home in Haverhill following a lengthy illness. She was 99 years old.

Anna was born in Boston on June 28, 1913, a daughter of the late Guy and Josephine Zaccone. Anna grew up in Stoneham where she attended the Stoneham Public School system. Anna worked several years ago in the assembling department for Transitron of Wakefield. She was a member of The Wakefield Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking and knitting, playing cards on Saturday nights and most of all spending quality time with her family.

Anna is the beloved wife of the late Anthony "Tony" Mele. She is the devoted mother of John A. Mele and his wife Susan of Salem, New Hampshire. She is the loving Nuna to Gabrielle and Joshua. She is the beloved sister of Lillian Guidetti of Peabody and the late Guy, Peter, Katie and Josie. She is also the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anna's Funeral Mass on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield. Interment is private. There are no visiting hours.
