Obituary

Arthur Francis Hanlon Jr., of Quincy MA, formerly of Charlestown entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was 79 years old.

Arthur was born in Philadelphia on February 10, 1945, the son of the late Arthur F. and Doris (Tarr) Hanlon. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Francis de Sales School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Arthur worked for Harbor Motor Trans Inc. as a truck driver for 25 years. After retirement Arthur enjoyed walking to Wollaston beach and spending time with friends at the Hancock Tavern in Quincy.

Arthur is the loving father of Lisa Hanlon Sullivan of Braintree, Ilene Gautreau of Wilmington, Bridget Garland of Boston, Colleen Hanlon of Norwell, Eric Hanlon of Middleboro, Michael Hanlon of Quincy and Daniel Hanlon of Quincy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
