Obituary

Barry Scadding, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died suddenly at his home in Charlestown on Sunday, January 11, 2009. He was 46 years old.

Barry was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools and Charlestown High School. Barry has been working as a Bus Driver for the M.B.T.A. for the last 12 years and was a member of their Carmens Union Local # 589. Barry was a dedicated friend of "Bill W".

Barry is the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Auch) Scadding. He is the beloved father of Kevin B. Scadding. He is the devoted brother of Joseph R. Scadding of Malden, Robert C. Scadding of Weymouth, Cathy LaKing, James P. Scadding, Mary Murphy all of Charlestown, John Scadding of Somerville, Christine Lee of Framingham and the late Susan Scadding.

Barry's Funeral will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, followed by his Funeral Mass in Street, Mary's Church, 55 Warren Street, Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 15, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
