Carol A. (Simpson) Scott, a 4 year resident of Tewksbury and formerly of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and Seabrook, New Hampshire, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose following an extended illness. She was 67 years old.
Carol was born in Cambridge on November 11, 1946, a daughter of the late Vernon A. Simpson and Ruby M. (Lyons) Simpson. She grew up in Somerville where she was educated in the Somerville Public School system. Carol worked as a clerk for Grey Hound Bus Company in Boston for more than 15 years.
Carol is the beloved wife of the late John W. Scott. She is the devoted sister of the late Vernon L. Simpson and his surviving wife Joanne Simpson of Tewksbury formerly of Stoneham. She is the loving aunt of Christine DelRossi and her husband Steven of Dracut, Suzanne Blackwell and her fiancé Joseph D'Arrigo of Westford, Mark Simpson and his fiancé Lisa Seamans of Dracut, Karen Price of Hudson, New Hampshire, Michelle Sweeney and her husband Paul of Dracut and her loving grandnieces and grandnephews; Danielle, Nicole, Ryan, Cameron, Katelyn, Abi, Paul, David, Kelsey and Corey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carol's Funeral on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 A.M. Burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2 to 5 P.M. in the funeral home.
