Obituary

Catherine M. "Kay" Dunne, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was 89 years old.

Kay worked for many years as an operator for New England Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Kay is the beloved sister of the late Theresa Curran and Julia Lydon. She is the loving aunt of Margie Drummey, Theresa Woodhouse, Maureen Celata and Jim Curran. She is also the Great-Aunt of 15 great-nieces and great-nephews and 1 great-great- nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kay's Funeral on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m.
