Obituary

Clare A. (McComiskey) Senna, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life at home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, lovingly surrounded by family. She was 78 years of age.

Clare was born in Boston on February 17, 1947, a daughter of the late Sidney McComiskey and Helen (Ward) McComiskey. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and Charlestown High School. Clare worked as an elder services caregiver throughout her life for Jewish Family and Children's Service. Clare loved to play games on her computer, singing in the Choir in Somerville and talking with her friends on the phone. She also loved to be a bit of a jokester.

Clare is the loving wife of the late George A. Senna. She is the devoted mother of the late Gary Senna. She is the beloved sister of Rita Boyden, Mary Giannino and her late husband John, Margaret McComiskey, and the late John McComiskey and his wife Ellen , and the late Sidney McComiskey. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Clare's Funeral Service on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. Her visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
