Obituary

Colleen M. (Pike) Doe-Braccini, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. She was 76 years old.

Colleen was born in Boston on September 13, 1940, a daughter of the late George Pike and Mary (Maloney) Pike. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Colleen worked for many years as a waitress for several establishments in the Charlestown area. Colleen enjoyed playing bingo and traveling to Foxwoods.

Colleen is the beloved wife of 40 years to Michael J. Braccini. She is the devoted mother of Arthur "Butchie" Doe and his wife Maryanne, Ronald Doe and his wife Virginia, Patrick Doe and his wife Diane and the late Colleen Whalen and Kellyjean Doe. She is the beloved mother-in-law to Tina. She is the loving Nana Colleen to many grandchildren, the late Jillian Boyden, Richard Whalen and many great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Kathy Kennedy-Marsden and her husband Jack and the late Sally McSweeney, Maryjo Graham, James Pike and David Pike. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Colleen's Funeral on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
