Daniel R. "Moe" Devlin, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the North End Rehabilitation and Care Center in Boston. He was 72 years of age.
Moe was born in Boston on July 1, 1946, a son of the late Harold W. Devlin and Mary V. (Quinn) Devlin. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Moe enlisted into the United States Army National Guard on October 10, 1963. He was honorably discharged on September 8, 1967 with the rank of Specialist while serving his country with pride and honor during the Vietnam Conflict. Moe worked as a mechanic alongside Al Reilly at Reilly's Garage in Somerville formerly located in Charlestown. Moe was a member of The Abraham Lincoln Post # 11, G.A.R. of Charlestown.
Moe is the devoted brother of Diane Voye and her husband Edward, Sheila Jackson and her husband David, Jacqueline Fabiano and her husband Mario, Denis Devlin and his wife Carol, and the late Harold W. Devlin Jr. and his surviving wife Joanne, Geraldine "Tootsie" Doris and Paul J. Devlin. He is the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Moe's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
