Deborah M. "Debbie"(McNamara) Biggins, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, June 15, 2026. She was 69 years old.
Debbie was born in Somerville on November 12, 1956, a daughter of the late Richard McNamara and Edda (Brisson) McNamara. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from St. Rose High School in Chelsea. Debbie worked for the IRS for 7 years before working as a surveyor and researcher for many years. Debbie and her husband Jay had a fond love for McNulty Court and all of the friends and neighbors throughout their 43 years of residence there. She loved collecting memories and won family and friends over with her rice krispie treats and buckeyes. Debbie also volunteered at St. Catherine's Church Brown Bag and the Harvest on Vine food pantry.
Debbie is the beloved wife of the late James J. “Jay” Biggins. She is the dear mother of Tammy McCormack and her husband Michael, and Christina Biggins. She is the loving Grandma Debbie to Ariana Arroyo, Emme, Jack, and Molly McCormack. She is also survived by her loving dog Duke.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Debbie's visiting hours on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., concluding with her Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will take place on Thursday morning, June 25, 2026 at 10 A.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
