Diane R. (Johnson) Sullivan, a 20 year resident of Winthrop and formerly of Medford and Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Blue Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. She was 76 years of age.

Diane was born in Somerville on February 25, 1950, a daughter of the late Harry Johnson and Catherine (O'Rourke) Johnson. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Diane was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, walking, and taking care of her cat and dog.

Diane is the beloved wife of the late Jeremiah “Sully” Sullivan. She is the devoted mother of Sean Fitzgerald. She is the loving Ana of Niall Fitzgerald and Skylar Fitzgerald, and their mother Tracey Lawler. She is the beloved sister of Jane Johnson, Retired Boston Firefighter Richard Johnson and his wife Marianne, and the late Harry Johnson and his surviving wife Carol, Robert Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Paul Johnson and his surviving wife Janice. She is the dear aunt of Amanda Evans, Richard Johnson, Jill Finn, Emily Rescigno, and the late Michael Murphy, Paul Johnson, and Kara Deon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Diane's visiting hours on Monday morning, May 18, 2026 from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
