Obituary

Domenic A. Puglielli, a 24 year resident of Saugus and formerly of South Boston, passed into eternal life on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Annemark Nursing Home in Revere following a valiant and courageous 11 year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was 53 years old.

Dom was born in Boston on July 24, 1958, a son of Gennaro and Joanne T. (DeGrandis) Puglielli. He grew up in South Boston where he attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the North End in 1976. Dom worked for the M.B.T.A. as a Trolley Operator for more than 14 years until his illness forced him to retire. He was a member of the M.B.T.A. Carmen's Union Local # 589.

Dom is the beloved and dedicated husband of 28 years to Maureen D. (Ward) Puglielli. He is the devoted and loving father of Jacqueline Puglielli of Saugus and her fiance Patrick Dawley, Domenic A. Puglielli and Michael G. Puglielli both of Saugus. He is the beloved son of Joanne T. (DeGrandis) Puglielli and the late Gennaro Puglielli of South Boston. He is the beloved brother of Maria Anderson and her husband David and Stephen Puglielli all of South Boston. He is the loving uncle of Nicole and David Anderson. He is the beloved son-in-law of Josephine Ward and the late Francis Ward of Charlestown. He is the nephew of Philomena Romano and Anna Puglielli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Domenic's Funeral on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose followed by his Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St. Saugus at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
