Obituary

Donna M. (Yandle) Cannizzaro, a 34 year resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 62 years old.

Donna was born in Boston on January 31, 1955, a daughter of the late Ralph P. Yandle and Dorothy (O'Neil) Yandle. Donna grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. She was a homemaker where she dedicated herself to her 5 children and their families. Donna enjoyed sewing and doing arts and crafts and listening to Elvis Presley music.

Donna is the beloved wife of the late Vincent Cannizzaro. She is the devoted mother of Doreen Yandle of Somerville, Shawn Yandle of Somerville, Krystal Cannizzaro of Somerville, Courtnie Barnoski of Somerville and Briana Barnoski of Somerville. She is the mother-in-law of Carey Gibson, Tavon Bowden, Omar Legall and Sydney Pierre. She is the loving Grandmother to Paul, Brittney, Jordan, Brendan, Jonathan, Kaleigh, Taelynn, Davonte, Dekysha, Gideon, Nicaea, Anasia and her deceased great-grandson Amir. She is the beloved sister of Paul Yandle of Arizona, Kathleen Hegarty and her husband James of New Hampshire and Michelle Fay of Sandwich. She is also lovingly survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Donna's visiting hours on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11 A.M to 2 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 1:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
