Dorothy M. (Snow) Dyson, a resident of Wakefield and formerly of Stoneham and Melrose, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington following an extended illness. She was 97 years old.
Dorothy was born in Amesbury on November 8, 1915, a daughter of the late Joseph W. Snow and Agnes (Cummings) Snow. She grew up in Amesbury where she attended the Amesbury Public School system. Dorothy was a homemaker most of her adult life.
Dorothy is the beloved wife of the late Ernest E. Dyson. She is the devoted mother of Donald Dyson and his wife Kye of Gilboa, New York, David Dyson and his wife Patricia of Derry, New Hampshire and Bette Liponis of Clayton, North Carolina. She is the loving Grandma to Scott, Jaime, Ashley, Debbie, Julie and her great-grandchildren; Daniel, Bridget and Scott. She is the beloved sister of Virginia Snow of Stoneham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Dorothy on Saturday morning, February 2, 2013 from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. followed by her Funeral Service at 10 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose/Wakefield line. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Amesbury.
