Obituary

Dyan M. (Walsh) Espindle, a resident of Vineyard Haven and formerly of Andover and Charlestown, entered into eternal life on January 23, 2016 at the Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was 66 years of age.

Dyan was born in Everett on June 20, 1949, a daughter of the late John F. Walsh and Dorothy F. (Shannon) Walsh. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Catherine of Siena Parochial School and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1967. Following high school, Dyan attended Whidden Memorial Hospital Nursing School, graduating in 1970. Dyan was a nurse for over 45 years specializing in addiction, psychiatry, and hospice.

Dyan is the beloved wife of 28 years to David Espindle. She is the devoted mother of Steven Trussell, Kara Espindle Wood, Amy Espindle Ignatowicz, Jesse Gallagher, Maxwell Espindle, and David Bryan Espindle. She is the loving Nana to Brandon, Adam, and Alexander. Dyan is the beloved sister of John F. Walsh Jr. and the late Dorothy (Walsh) Colclough.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dyan's Funeral on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be Private. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 2 to 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
