Obituary

Edward F. Campbell, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Friday, January 22, 2010, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. He was 54 years old.

Eddie was born in Boston on January 28, 2010. He grew up in Charlestown and attended Boston Public Schools. Eddie worked as a truck driver for several trucking companies and also enjoyed driving his ice cream truck around Charlestown selling ice cream.

Eddie is the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (O'Donnell) Campbell. He is the devoted father of Christopher Campbell and his wife Anne, Shawn O'Donnell and his fiance Michelle, Joseph Fallon and the late Edward F. Campbell Jr. He is the loving Papa to Christopher Jr., Liam P. and Julia. He is the beloved son of Frances "Frannie" Campbell and the late John Campbell. He is the beloved brother of Jack, Doreen and her husband Steve, Stephen and Danny. Also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Eddie on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 7 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown. Burial will be private.
