Obituary

Edward H. "Ed" Gallagher Jr., a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Boston Medical Center in Boston.. He was 67 years of age.

Ed was born in Boston on June 2, 1953. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Brighton High School. Ed entered into the United States Army on March 24, 1975 and was discharged with the rank of Private. Ed worked for the Jordan Marsh Company as a warehouseman, he also worked as a bartender at the World Trade Center in Boston for many years. He loved his family, especially his 3 grandsons.

Ed is the devoted husband of 33 years to Ellen M. (Ridlon) Gallagher. He is the beloved father of Edward H. Gallagher III and his wife Kimberly and Eric Ridlon and his wife Bridgette. He is the loving Papa to Edward IV, Logan, and Jack.

Ed's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
