Esther F. (Herman) Fitzpatarick, a thirty-five year resident of Charlestown, died on Monday, October 17, 2005, at her residence following a long illness. She was 80 years old.
Esther was born in Cambridge and grew up in the West End of Boston where she attended Boston Public Schools. She was a homemaker.
Esther was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Fitzpatrick. She was the devoted mother of Carol Ann Dello Russo and her husband Louie of Everett, Peggy Carnevale of Somerville, Joseph W. Fitzpatrick, Jr., and his wife Marlene of Exeter, NH, Kathleen Fitzpatrick and Theresa Haney both of Virginia, and the late John and Joey Fitzpatrick. Esther was the loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She was the beloved sister of Ann DeVincent of Waltham, Veronica Publicover of Sudbury and the late Eva Janus, Frank, Michael and Adam Herman. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Esther was the dear friend of Marguerite Randazza of Charlestown.
Esther's funeral will be held from the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, on Friday, October 21, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church, 49 Vine Street, Charelstown, at 10:00 a.m.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours for Esther will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005, from 4 – 8 p.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA.
Memorial donations in Esther's name may be made Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Road, Malden, MA 02148.
