Eugene T. "Geno" Brosnahan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his home in Charlestown. He was 88 years of age.
Geno was born in Boston on January 15, 1934, a son of the late Eugene Brosnahan and Alice (Christie) Brosnahan. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Geno entered into the United States Air Force on July 23, 1951 and served his country with honor and pride during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on July 22, 1955 with the rank of Airman Second Class. Geno worked at The H.P. Hood Company for 40 years, retiring in 1996 as a Supervisor.
Geno is the devoted husband of 65 years to Suzanne (LaPrise) Brosnahan. He is the beloved father of John P. Brosnahan and his wife Patricia of Somerville, Mary Beth Tucker and her husband James of Charlestown, Valerie Murphy of Charlestown, Suzanne M. Brosnahan and her partner Robert Delaney of Charlestown, and the late Barbara Bradford and her surviving husband Richard of East Boston. He is the loving Grampy of James, Shannon, Jenelle, Sean, Christopher, and Savannah and Great-Grampy of Aislynn, Gavin, McKenzi and Brynn. He is the dear brother of John Brosnahan and the late Mary Heneghan and Alice Roche. He is also the proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Geno's visiting hours on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 4 P.M to 8 P.M with his Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
