Obituary

Eunice E. Evers, a lifelong Charlestown resident, died on Tuesday November 13, 2007 at her brothers home in Norwood after a brief illness.

Eunice was born in Boston, she grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1951. Eunice worked for about 10 years at Pratt/Whitney Aircraft and later went to work for the Federal Government for 30 years, becoming an executive secretary in the General Services Administration (G.S.A.).

Eunice is the beloved daughter of the late Winnie "Eunie" and Henry J. Evers. She is the devoted sister of Bernard A. Evers and his wife Judy, Barbara Evers all of Charlestown, Robert J. Evers and his late wife Nora of Norwood, the late Lillian Barnes, Frances Mansfield and Henry J. Evers Jr. She is the beloved niece of Dorothy "Dolly" Ferreira. She is the loving aunt of 24 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Eunice's Funeral will be held on Saturday November 17, 2007 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Eunice are on Friday November 16, 2007 from 5 to 9 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
