Eva (Oksomitis) Auffrey a resident of Stoughton and formerly of Charlestown and Dorchester, died on Thursday morning June 22, 2006 at The Port Health Care Center in Newburyport following a lengthy illness. She was 93 years old.
Eva was born in Cambrdge and lived in Charlestown where she raised her family. She later moved to Dorchester for a few years and then moved to Stoughton where she lived until her stay in the nursing home. Eva was a homemaker.
Eva was the beloved wife of the late Victor J. Auffrey. She is the devoted mother of Jacqueline Auffrey of Groveland, Carol Manning of Stoughton, Richard B. Auffrey of Melrose, Bruce C. Auffrey of California and the late Victor R. Auffrey. She is the loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eva's visiting hours on Monday morning June 26, 2006 from 9 to 10:30 am. in The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 am. Burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
In lieu of flowers kindly make memorial donations in Eva's name to Perkins School For The Blind, 175 North Beacon St. Watertown, Mass. 02172.
