Obituary

Fernando F. Salazar, a resident of Charlestown and formerly of Dorchester, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at his home in Charlestown following an extended illness. He was 69 years old.

Fernando was born in Lambayeque, Peru on January 14, 1943 to the late Felipe Salazar and Maria Delcarmen (Silva) Salazar. He grew up in Peru where he educated himself through high school and college before immigrating to the United States in 1989. Fernando worked in the maintenance division for several hotels.

Fernando is the loving father of Martin Salazar of East Boston and Carlos Salazar of Saugus. He is the beloved brother of William, Ruben, Nelly and Esperanza.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Fernando on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 7 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown.
