Obituary

Florence C. (Brophy) Kelly, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died unexpectedly on Monday April 9, 2007 at West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala, Florida. She was 86 years old.

Florence was born in Boston on June 11, 1923. She grew up in Charlestown, where she attended Boston Public Schools. Florence was a homemaker.

Florence is the beloved wife of the late James H. Kelly. She is the devoted mother of Dana J. Kelly of North Billerica, James W. Kelly of Marshfield, Candace McGrath of Ocala, Florida, Lindsay J. Kelly of Pensacola, Florida and Kerry B. Kelly of Haverhill. She is the loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of John J. Brophy of Hull.

Florence's Funeral will be held on Saturday April 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church 49 Vine St. Charlestown at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Florence will be held on Friday April 13, 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. Cremation will take place following her funeral mass.
