Obituary

Francis P. "Frankie" Keane, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Saugus Rehab and Nursing Center. He was 87 years of age.

Frankie was born in Boston on October 2, 1937, a son of the late William Keane. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended elementary school and graduated from high school. Frankie enlisted into the United States Army on October 31, 1955 and served his country with pride and honor until he was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist on October 30, 1958.

Frankie enjoyed running, in his earlier and younger years, he was seen running a good pace throughout Charlestown and the city and in his later and more progressed years, he would be seen around Charlestown with a slight jog if not almost walking. He was very proud of his accomplishments.
