Grace Elizabeth (Farren) Campbell, a lifelong and very proud resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea. She was 84 years of age.

Grace was born in Boston on January 17, 1942, a daughter of County Donegal, Ireland immigrants Daniel P. Farren and Rose (Devlin) Farren. Grace grew up in Charlestown where she was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. She worked as a Secretary at the State House of Massachusetts for Governor Paul Cellucci. She was a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association, Daughters of Isabella # 1 and a founding member of the Bunker Hill Irish Heritage Society.

Grace was very proud of her Irish heritage especially her parents immigrating from Donegal and settling in Charlestown. She was always singing the Irish songs with her beloved friends at either Club 4 or Club Crystal. If she was not at her home, she could be seen and heard at many Charlestown functions with again her beloved friends singing "We are The Charlestown Girls".

Grace is the beloved wife of the late Daniel E. Campbell Jr. She is the devoted mother of Sharon Melillo and her husband Ken, Susan Carr and her husband Phil, retired ATF Special Agent Danny Campbell and his wife MaryEllen, and Kimberly Mahoney and her husband retired Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Paul. She is the loving Nana Grace to Kenneth Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Farren and her husband Jared, Anthony, Philip III, Boston Police Officer Daniel and his wife Zoe, Tara and her husband Allen, Molly and her husband Sam, Hannah, Patrick, Maeve Grace and loving "GG" to Riley, Kendall, Kelsey, Brooks, Brynn, Teighan, Reese, Rowan, Keeghan, and Nolan Mark who was born on October 9, 2026.

She is beloved sister of the late Bernard Farren, James Farren, Alice Mortali and husband Fred, Kathleen "Kitty" Whelan and husband Buddy, Daniel Farren and his surviving wife Mary, Anna Doris and her surviving husband Boston Police Detective Bud, and Eileen Sullivan and her surviving husband Jimmy. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Grace's Funeral on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 9:45 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
