Obituary

Helen T. (Carroll) Parsons, a resident of Scituate and longtime resident of Dorchester and formerly of Charlestown, died on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after an extended illness. She was 90 years old.

Helen was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools. Helen has been a homemaker most of her adult life caring for her family.

Helen is the beloved wife of the late Foster D. Parsons. She is the devoted mother of David A. Parsons of Marshfield, Caroline Cassidy of Scituate, Dean Parsons of Braintree, Richard Parsons of Duxbury and the late Don Parsons. She is the loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister Margaret Sweeney of Somerville, Richard Carroll of New York and Virginia Kelley of Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Helen's Funeral on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m.
