Obituary

Helen M. (McGonagle) Connolly age 77 years died at her home in Charlestown after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Charlestown, she graduated from St. Francis de Sales Grammar School in 1949and from Girls High School in Boston in 1953. She was the daughter of the late Helen (Walsh) and Charles McGonagle.
Helen went to work for New England Tel & Tel Company in 1965 and retired from the Devonshire St. Boston office in 2000.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Eugene "Money" Connolly, 3 daughters; Karen Johnson, Ann Connolly and Kathleen Foley and 1 son Kevin Connolly. She is also survived by 3 brothers; Charlie McGonagle, Leo McGonagle and Paul McGonagle. She was the grandmother of 6.
Her Funeral Mass will be Tuesday August 7th in St. Francis de Sales Church, Charlestown at 10AM followed by the interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visitation will be held in the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown on Monday from 4-8PM.
