Obituary

James F. Donovan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a short illness. He was 59 years old.

Jimmy was born in Boston on December 13, 1952, a son of the late Edward F. Donovan and Rita E. (Connolly) Donovan. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended the Boston Public School system. Jimmy worked for several years as a laborer in the produce market.

Jimmy is the beloved husband of the late Carol (Auch) . He is the devoted father of the late James Donovan. He is the beloved brother of Helen Donovan, Robert Donovan, Francis Donovan, Mary Still, Arthur Donovan, Michael Donovan and the late Rita Parker, Edward Donovan and Joseph Donovan. He is the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Jimmy on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 5:45 p.m. in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Interment is private.
