Obituary

James M. "Jim" Evers, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. He was 61 years old.

Jim was born in Boston on May 16, 1954, a son of the late John Evers and Alice (Quinn) Evers. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Charlestown High School. Jim worked as a Receiving Manager at KMart for 20 years.

Jim is the devoted husband of 20 years to Ellen (Wilkins) Evers. He is the loving stepfather of Michael Wilkins of Charlestown. He is the beloved brother of John Evers, David Evers, Marie Evers, and the late Ricky Evers. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Jim's funeral services were private.
