Obituary

James P. "Jimmy" Garvey, a resident of East Boston and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, May 22, 2023. He was 41 years of age.

Jimmy was born in Boston on September 21, 1981, a son of John M. Garvey and Denise P. Jennings. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School System and played Charlestown pop warner and youth hockey. Jimmy worked in the trades for many years and was recently working in sales for a solar company. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, skiing, and running.

Jimmy is the beloved husband of 20 months to Daniele Losi Garvey. He is the loving son of Denise P. Jennings and John M. Garvey and his wife Denyce. He is the dear brother of John Garvey, Kathryn Garvey, Elizabeth Pardy and Emily Pardy, and their father Ray Pardy. He is the beloved grandson of Lillian Garvey and the late Robert Garvey, Harriet and Randolph Jennings. He is the caring uncle of Keira Garvey and Charles Colligan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jimmy's visiting hours on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., concluded by his Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
