Obituary

Jane C. (Robinson) McNeil, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, enterted into eternal life on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. She was 79 years of age.

Jane was born in Boston on December 15, 1940, a daughter of the late Harold "Lefty" Robinson and Rita (Allard) Robinson. She grew up in Charlestown we she was educated and graduated from Charlestown High School. Jane worked for Partners Health Care at the Schraffts building in Charlestown as a clerk for over 10 years. She was a member of the Somerville City Club.

Jane is the devoted mother of Briana McNeil, Gary McNeil and the late Billy McNeil and Douglas McNeil. She is the loving Nana to Greg McNeil, Nicole McNeil, Douglas McNeil, Jack Hartnett, John McNeil the late James McNeil and her great-grandchildren Ryan, Rory and Greyson. She is the beloved sister of Charlie Robinson, Robert Robinson and his wife Pat, Rita Haley, Linda Grasso and her husband Bill and the late Claire Levenson and her husband Larry and Paul Robinson. She is the former wife of Brian McNeil. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jane's visiting hours on Thursday morning, January 16, 2020 from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial is private.
