Obituary

Joan M.(Green) Dyer, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Epoch of Melrose Nursing Home in Melrose following a brief illness. She was 82 years old.

Joan was born in Boston on May 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Edward M. Green and Catherine M. (Sliney) Green. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Joan worked at Schraffts Candy Co. in Charlestown for several years and Kyanize Paint Company in Everett as a clerk for several years. Joan later devoted her life to her family as a homemaker.

Joan is the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Dyer. She is the devoted mother of Kathleen M. Dyer of Charlestown and the late Robert L. Dyer Jr. She is the loving sister of James Green of Everett and the late Edward Green. Joan is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan's Funeral on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 3 to 5 P.M. in the funeral home.
