Obituary

John "Jackie" Burton, age 62 years, a lifelong Charlestown resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 30, 2018.

Jackie enjoyed a long career working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Network Administrator. Having recently retired, Jackie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling and trying his luck against slot machines.

Jackie is survived by his beloved family. His sister and best friend Beth Taglilatela and her husband John, brothers, Joseph Burton and his wife Judy and James Burton and his wife Maura. He is the son of the late Frances A. (Doherty) Burton and Joseph Burton. He was predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Burton. He is the loving uncle to Ryanne Burton, Catherine Taglilatela, John Burton, Matthew Burton, Chris Burton, Alex Burton and is a great-uncle to Dylan Burton. Jackie is also survived by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jackie's Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by a reception to celebrate his life. His burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
