Obituary

John E. Gannon, a 30 year resident of Saugus and formerly of Somerville, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Life Care Center Nursing Home in Stoneham following a lengthy illness. He was 74 years old.

John was born in Medford on March 11, 1939, a son of the late John J. Gannon and Catherine A. (Boland) Gannon. He grew up in Somerville where he was educated in the Somerville Public School system. John worked at Schraffts Candy Company in Charlestown for many years and at the Chelsea produce center as a meat packer.

John is the devoted brother of Jeanne F. Flanagan of Charlestown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

John's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
