Obituary

Joseph G. "Joe T" Tallent, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 46 years old.

Joe was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on March 30, 1979, a son of Eleanor "Ellie" (Suprey) Tallent and the late James "Jimma" Tallent. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1997. Joe worked as a Plumber for JT Plumbing and previously worked for the City of Boston Public Works Department and as a manager at Paolo's Restaurant in Charlestown.

Joe is the beloved son of Eleanor "Ellie" Tallent and the late James "Jimma" Tallent. He is the dear brother of James Tallent and his wife Tracy, Michael Nelson, William Nelson, Ellie Nelson, Renee Tallent, Dorcee Tallent, and the late Michelle Tallent. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's visiting hours on Saturday morning, November 29, 2025 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass at 12 P.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
