Obituary

Joseph D. Macomber, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 78 years old.

Joseph was born in Boston on April 16, 1937, a son of the late Edward Macomber and Catherine (Sullivan) Macomber. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Joseph worked as a laborer for Hub Electric Company for several years.

Joseph is the beloved husband of 44 years to Pamela D. (Call) Macomber. He is the devoted father of Joseph Macomber and his wife Kerrie of Hyde Park, Michelle Giordano and her husband Kenneth of Tewksbury, and Kevin Macomber of Charlestown. He is the loving Grampa to Joseph Jr., Ashley, and Emma. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph's visiting hours on Friday morning, June 26, 2015 from 8:30 A.M. to 10 A.M. followed by his Funeral Service at 10 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
