Liam D. Fittz, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, July 10, 2026 in his home in Charlestown. He was 60 years of age.

Liam was born in Boston on November 15, 1965, a son of the late Charles W. Fittz and Mary "Dolly" (Logan) Fittz. Raised in Charlestown, Liam attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Matignon High School. He dedicated his life to his craft as a carpenter and was a proud member of Carpenter's Union Local #328. Known for his kind, selfless, and generous spirit, Liam was always willing to help others. During his teenage years, he devotedly cared for his beloved mother, Dolly. A passionate supporter of Charlestown youth sports, Liam coached football, baseball, and softball, leaving a lasting impact on the community. Liam found joy in nature, spending cherished moments hiking and traveling to Loon Mountain.

Liam is the beloved father of Maeve A. Fittz and Aidan J. Fittz, and a lifelong friend to their mother Julie Treanor. He is the dear brother of Charles "Chuck" Fittz and his wife Carrie, and to the late Sean and Joseph Fittz. He is the cherished uncle of Jack L. Fittz. He is also survived by his dogs Eli and Prescott. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Liam's funeral on Thursday July 16, 2026 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. His burial will be private. His visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
