Obituary

Lorraine F. (Porter) Breen, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her home in Charlestown. She was 76 years of age.

Lorraine was born in Somerville on November 17, 1945, a daughter of the late James F. Porter and Frances B. (Connolly) Porter. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. Lorraine worked as a Nurse's Aide for many years in the surrounding hospitals and nursing homes. You could always find Lorraine sitting down the Bunker Hill Mall on a nice sunny day with all her friends.

Lorraine is the beloved wife of the late Michael T. Breen. She is the devoted sister of James F. "Jim" Porter Jr. of Charlestown and the late Raymond T. Porter. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lorraine's visiting hour on Saturday morning, November 27, 2021 from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mausoleum, Malden.
