Obituary

Margaret M. Jenkins, formerly of Dorchester, Arlington, and Quincy, entered into eternal life on January 1, 2022 at her home in Norwood. She was 84 years of age.

Margaret is the beloved daughter of the late James Jenkins and Gertrude F. (Smith) Jenkins. She is the loving sister of the late James J. Jenkins, and Millie Young and her surviving husband Daniel Young. She is the devoted aunt of Michelle Young, Daniel Young, Kerrie Young, and to her grand-nephews Ryan, Sean, Andrew, Nolan McDonough, and Daniel G. Young. She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Margaret grew up in Dorchester where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School. Margaret worked for Boston Gas Company/National Grid for 40 years as the Editor of the company's newsletter. She was a member of the Castle Island Association and volunteer at the Massachusetts Archives and Commonwealth Museum. Margaret was an exceptional woman who had numerous friends whom she cherished dearly. She was devoted to her faith and to her family. Aunt Margie was a wonderful, loving and doting Aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Margaret's Graveside Service in Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, January 7, 2022 (Please meet inside main gate off Broadway by 11:20 A.M.).
