Margaret E. (MacDonald) Puglisi, a life long resident of Wakefield, died at her home on Sunday, November 26, 2006, following a brief illness. She was 88 years old.
Margaret was born in Wakefield on November 9, 1918, where she grew up. She attended St. Joseph's Parachial School. She was a member of the class of 1936 which was the first graduating class of the new Wakefield High School. Margaret was a homemaker who concerned herself with caring for her family and many relatives and friends.
Margaret is the beloved wife of Joseph A. Puglisi. She is the devoted mother of David F. Puglisi of Wakefield and the late Leonard J. Puglisi. She is the loving grandmother of Michelle Puglisi of Wakefield, M.C.P.O. Richard V. Puglisi, USN, Theresa M. Barton both of California. Margaret is the great-grandmother of Serena Puglisi of Wakefield, Grace, Travis and Luke Puglisi all of California. She is the beloved sister of Leonard MacDonald of Wakefield.
Margaret's Funeral will take place on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Melrose/Wakefield Line followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Avenue, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours for Margaret are Wednesday, November 29, 2006, from 4 - 7 p.m. Cremation will take place following her Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, kindly make memorial donations in Margaret's name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 3 Bridge Street, Suite #103, Newton, MA 02458.
