Obituary

Margaret A. "Margie" (Lehan) Heinonen, a resident of Melrose and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was 76 years of age.

Margie was born in Boston on March 8, 1949, a daughter of the late Raymond Lehan and Ann (McNeil) Lehan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. Margie worked for many years as a Legal Secretary for Bingham, Dana Law Firm in Boston and then Goodwin, Proctor Law Firm in Boston. While growing up in Charlestown, Margie was a member of St. Catherine's Church drill team and then was a longtime member of The Majestic Knights Drum & Bugle Corps of Charlestown.

Margie is the beloved wife of the late Eino N. Heinonen. She is the devoted mother of Michael Heinonen, Michelle Banks and Ann Marie Campbell. She is the loving Nana to Richard, Jaden and the late Nichole. She is the beloved sister of Patricia A. Lehan, James Lehan and the late Susan Langlois.

Margie's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
