Obituary

Margaret E. Powers, a resident of Lowell and formerly of Dorchester, passed into eternal life on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. She was 48 years old.

Margaret was born in Boston on May 24, 1964, a daughter of Richard Sanzi Jr. and the late Barbara (Powers). She grew up in Dorchester where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Dorchester High School. Margaret worked as a waitress for several years and enjoyed caring for her family.

Margaret is the loving mother of Barbara, Michael & Ricky. She is the devoted sister of Robert, Kathy, Nancy, Derek, Freddie, Geraldine, Danny, Barbara Ann And the late Tony. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Margaret on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown and her Graveside Service on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams St. Dorchester.
