Obituary

Mark C. McKay, a 3 year resident of Charlestown and formerly of Brookline, died on Tuesday May 12, 2009 at Radius Specialty Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness. He was 86 years old.

Mark grew up in Brookline where he attended schools there. He was a lover of the sea and spent 5 years as a Merchant Seaman during World War ll. He later entered management training at Filene's of Boston where he worked for several years. He then began selling industrial equipment for American Saw Company of East Longmeadow, Mass. where he worked for 20 years. He later moved back to Brookline for a period of time and then lived in Rockport before moving to Charlestown.

Mark is the beloved father of Jeffrey S. McKay of Watertown, Bryan A. McKay of California and the late Andrea McKay. He is the devoted brother of Janet Boscho.
