Obituary

Mary C. (Driscoll) Murphy, a 35 year resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Golden Living Center - Dexter House in Malden. She was 80 years old.

Mary was born in Medford on August 14, 1935, a daughter of the late Jeremiah J. Driscoll and Margaret (Tobin) Driscoll. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from high school. Mary worked in the cafeteria as a cook at Mt. Auburn Hospital for over 20 years.

Mary is the devoted mother of Patricia A. Sparling of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kathleen M. Laurance of Germantown, Maryland, Robert J. Murphy of Monrovia, Maryland, Maureen M. Winebrenner of Frederick, Maryland, and Colleen H. Burke of Finksburg, Maryland. She is the loving nana to 9 grandchildren. Mary is the beloved sister of Jeremiah Driscoll of Everett, Paul Driscoll of Somerville, and the late John Driscoll, James Driscoll and Eugene Driscoll.

Mary's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
