Obituary

Mary F. (Houlihan) O'Connor, a longtime resident of Humarock and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Turkey Hill Hospice House in Hingham following an extended illness. She was 88 years old.

Mary was born in Boston on June 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Timothy Houlihan and Mary F. (Greatorex) Houlihan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Girls High School in Boston in 1941. Mary was a homemaker most of her adult life taking care of her family.

Mary is the beloved wife of the late John B. "Chick" O'Connor. She is the devoted mother of Eileen Hodermarsky and her husband George, Kathleen O'Connor, Mary A. Wilson and her husband Brad, Maureen Hurley, John B. O'Connor and his wife Felicia, Paul K. O'Connor and Janis O. Kearney and her husband Stephen. She is the loving Nana to 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mary's Funeral Services and burial at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
