Mary A. Wiemert, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her home in Charlestown following a valiant struggle with cancer. She was 81 years old.
Mary was born in Boston on June 5, 1932, a daughter of the late Lawrence J. Wiemert and Anna (Fallon) Wiemert. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Charlestown parochial school system and graduated from St. Rose High School in Chelsea. She furthered her education and received several degrees from Boston College and Emmanuel College. Mary worked for several years for the United States Government as a Title Accountant.
Mary is the devoted sister of Lawrence Wiemert of Arlington, John Wiemert and his wife Geraldine of Revere, Francis Wiemert of Charlestown and the late Catherine Wiemert. She is the loving aunt to Jacqueline O'Brien, Susan and David St. Martin and 2 grandnephews and a grandniece. She is the cousin of Frances Myers and John Fitzgerald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
