Maureen P. (Evers) Wedge a lifelong resident of Charlestown died at Whidden Hospital in Everett after a long illness. She was 63 years old.
Maureen was born in Boston on June 5, 1943. She grew up in Charlestown, where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1961. She worked for several years at Schrafft's Chocalate Company in Charlestown until it's closing. Recently Maureen had been working at Johnny's Foodmaster in Charlestown until her illness.
Maureen is the beloved wife of E. Paul Wedge. She is the devoted mother of Paul E. Wedge and his wife Laura of Florida, David A. Wedge of Charlestown, Maureen P. Carroll and her husband Thomas of Hyde Park and Kelley J. Wedge of Charlestown. She is the loving grandmother of Bailey, Matthew, Eric, Jason, Katherine and Sean. She is the beloved sister of Alice Corcoran of Shirley, Thomas Evers of Melrose, James Evers of Quincy and the late Thelma Spinney, Evelyn Jones and Red Evers.
Maureen's Funeral will be held on Friday July 21, 2006 at 9 am. from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Maureen will be held on Thursday July 20, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
