Obituary

Michael T. "Mike" Ortiz, a 4-year resident of Methuen formerly of Medford and Somerville, entered into eternal life suddenly on February 18, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence. He was 40 years of age.

Mike was born in Boston on April 29, 1983, a son of Artie Ortiz and the late Ann Marie (Long) Ortiz. He grew up in Somerville where he was educated in the Somerville Public School system. Mike worked as a rideshare driver for many years. He enjoyed working on cars, collecting sports memorabilia, and working with the carnival.

Mike is the beloved 25 year companion and 10 year husband of Nicole E. (Bonsignore) Ortiz. He is the loving father of Michael T. Ortiz Jr., Shawn Ortiz, April Rossi-Ortiz, and Domenic Ortiz. He is the beloved son of Artie Ortiz and his wife Saskia, and the late Ann Marie (Long) Ortiz. He is the dear brother of Kerry Ortiz and her husband William Fournier, A.J. Ortiz, Gerald Ferullo, and Ashleigh Ortiz. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his 2 dogs Sierra and Hemi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mike's visiting hours on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 6 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
