Obituary

Mildred E. (Evelyn) Anderson, a 15 year resident of Somerville and former 30 year resident of Medford, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Somerville Hospital. She was 66 years old.

Mildred was born in Boston on March 26, 1948, a daughter of the late Helen (Getherall). She grew up in Cambridge where she was educated in the Cambridge Public School system. Mildred has been a homemaker most of her adult life enjoying her pets, taking in stray animals, and above all else spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Mildred is the beloved wife of the late Harold W. Anderson. She is the devoted mother of Annie Aldorasi and her husband John of Medford, Harold W. Anderson Jr. and his wife Kim of Groveland, Florida, Robert Anderson of Somerville, Lori Fallon of California, and the late William Anderson. Mildred is the loving Nana to Alyssa, John Jr., Jarrid, Hailey, and Jailyn. She is the beloved sister of Ann Camara of Malden, and the late Theresa Daniels, Mary Marcinkewich, Daniel Evelyn, Robert Selfridge, and Arthur Selfridge. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her loving pets.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mildred's Funeral on Saturday. September 27, 2014 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Entombment will be the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in Malden. Visiting hours are on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
