Obituary

Nancy E. (Melaugh) Russell, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at her home in Charlestown. She was 61 years of age.

Nancy was born in Boston on September 24, 1960, a daughter of the late Herbert Melaugh and Ellen "Ellie" (Scadding) Melaugh. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1978. Nancy, along with her husband Arthur, was the owner of Erin's Pizza and Nancy's Kitchen where she was able to cook for people which provided her with great joy. She also was a waitress at many restaurants. Nancy was an animal lover who cared for all animals, especially her two cats Piggy and Sylvester.

Nancy is the beloved wife of Arthur E. Russell. She is the devoted mother of Marc Russell and his fiancé Kathleen O'Hearn, Erin Russell and her partner Joe, Christine Russell and her partner Matt, Patrick Russell, and the late Bernadette Russell. She is the loving Nana of Bridget, Braelynn, and Vivian. She is the dear sister of Herbert Melaugh and his wife Diana, Danny Melaugh and his wife Paula, Ellen Melaugh, and Julie Skinner and her husband Marc. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nancy's Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, July 23, 2022 at 10 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
